Shukie is a London-based DJ and producer with a long-standing presence in the UK’s house music scene. Over the years, he’s played at landmark venues like Shelter in New York, Wild Pitch, Nell’s, and Ministry of Sound, and is currently a regular at the BBE Store in East London. During the pandemic, he was instrumental in helping to grow the online radio platform Universal Rhythms. His sets blend classic and contemporary sounds, shaped by a deep appreciation for soulful, percussive music and a strong connection to the dancefloor.

Novakane Omega is a Norfolk, Virginia-based vocalist, producer, DJ, and emcee with a music career spanning three decades. Her work is distinguished by a sultry vocal style and lyrical depth that seamlessly blend elements of house, hip-hop, and soul.

As one half of the emcee duo The Rubber Peeple, an offshoot of the Jhunippuz Elite Poetry Organization, she has been a pivotal figure in underground music scenes. Her collaborations include “Yaa Neteru” with Jayphonic and K Civ, a track that melds ancient Khemetic Egyptian language with ethereal house rhythms, and “The White Room” with Native Jenkins, a collective celebrating rebirth and infinite potential through soulful house music. Beyond her musical endeavours, Novakane Omega is a dedicated educator and cultural advocate. She co-founded Soul Trust Records, an independent label and production company, and created the online educational blog Each Nine Teach Nine, focusing on health, education, and Black culture. Her multifaceted talents extend to writing, visual arts, and health activism, reflecting a holistic approach to creativity and community engagement. DJ SoliD was a fixture of Toronto’s club scene for decades. With a deep connection to dance music in all its forms, his sets incorporated soulful, deep and classic grooves that entertained dance floors around the city. His appearances ranged from contemporary venues like Boogie, Basement 254, and Joe Bird to Toronto’s legendary spots of the past—Roxy Blue, Tilt Lounge, Revival, and Gypsy Co-op. With an ability to blend various house styles, and a penchant also for drum and bass, his reputation grew steadily amongst his peers in Toronto’s nightlife, and he brought his energy and tune selection to the city whenever he had the opportunity.

In recent years, DJ SoliD took the exciting step into music production, crafting a distinct sound across a growing catalogue of Bandcamp releases — deep, percussive, and melodic house with a forward-thinking approach that helped him carve out his own lane within the genre.

Through both his DJ sets and his productions, DJ SoliD was a meaningful part of Toronto’s house scene, and his dedication to the craft left a lasting mark on the genre he loved.

Guerilla Science

Guerilla Science, the dynamic Canadian DJ duo established by Cullen Greaves (Cullen G) and Kevin “Jazzy” Jhagru, has been an influential presence in the underground house scene for several years. As a DJ, he’s graced the decks at some of the most iconic venues and parties across the U.S., including Soul In The Horn (NYC), Nowadays (NYC), Jupiter Disco (NYC), Movement Festival (Detroit), Charivari Festival (Detroit), and Eighteenth St. Lounge (D.C.). DJ and producer Mikekon has been a cornerstone of Sydney’s underground music scene for over two decades. Drawing early inspiration from the pioneering sounds of New York, Chicago, and Detroit, he honed his craft across Eora/Sydney’s vibrant club circuit, as well as through performances interstate and internationally.

As one-third of the influential 2010s party series House Your Soul, Mikekon played a pivotal role in nurturing the city’s soulful house community. In 2019, he launched WIP Music, a label and event series dedicated to high-quality dance music. WIP serves as a platform for releases, mixes, and parties that pay homage to the roots of electronic dance while fostering a safe and inclusive space for community, culture, and art.

Over the years, Mikekon has shared stages with house music legends such as Louie Vega, Danny Krivit, DJ Spinna, Osunlade, and Timmy Regisford, experiences that have profoundly influenced his artistic journey.
