Lost in the Rhythm TV
Occasionally we take a camera out with us to places. We still fully believe moments absolutely belong on the dancefloor, but sometimes it is nice to capture something for prosperity’s sake. Nothing too fancy, just a DJ and some tunes delivering that authentic Lost in the Rhythm vibe. Please feel free to check these films when you see them. We think you won’t be too disappointed…
In October 2023, Lost in the Rhythm made its Dutch debut during ADE weekend, bringing its deep, soulful house energy to Amsterdam’s redeveloped Eastern Docklands. This inaugural event marked a significant milestone, commemorating 18 months of online collaboration, curation, and the foundation of a vibrant community that shared our timeless, musically rich values.
With Rob Coley, Harry De Courcy, Oriabela, and Frederick of Astral Arts at the helm, the afternoon was filled with carefully curated sets that embodied the essence of Lost in the Rhythm – deep, immersive, and emotionally charged music for the soul. It was played out in front of a gathering of music lovers who had come together in the city for the party weekend, not just to celebrate the music but the culture and connection the event helped to foster.
This special ADE edition laid the groundwork for Lost in the Rhythm, and set the tone ahead of our return in 2024 to finally launch the record label. This event remains a standout moment in the journey so far, and we hope many more moments will be created as things progress.
After last year’s excursion to Amsterdam during ADE, we just had to do it again. And in October 2024, we returned to host a beautiful Lost in the Rhythm experience at Feed Amsterdam — a night filled with community, soulful rhythms, and pure underground vibes.
This event marked the European launch of our debut vinyl release and featured a trio of incredible guest DJs, each conjuring a deep, spiritual groove drawn from the past and present of soulful dance music. Rob opened the night with a warm, heartfelt selection of classic and new deep grooves. His set moved organically, sharing elements of his personal journey through the years with an acutely curated flow full of New York classics. Next up was the Dam’s own DJ Tracksuit, who delivered some of his current favourites with both style and soul. Then our brother Pappafunk who made the trip from London for the occasion, graced the room with a stunning all-vinyl set, pure class from start to finish.
We closed the night in the company of the amazing Juliet Mendoza, who joined us all the way from LA, to deliver a wickedly soulful selection full of energy and dance floor dynamics. Each guest brought their own distinct flavour, but together created a fusion of soulful, afro, and deep house that provided the perfect backdrop to this ADE experience.
This video above captures the full six-hour journey: a celebration of rhythm inspired by the African diaspora, layered with deep and classic sounds from across the globe. Please feel free to enjoy it at your leisure.
If you didn’t catch the buzz of ADE this year, here’s a moment you might have missed. While in Amsterdam this past October, we spent some time in the newly arranged Feed Amsterdam radio room, a fresh setup since our last visit in 2023.
After a day of recording interviews for @saturdaynightexperience, we had the chance tto jump on the decks for an after-hours session. Rob stepped in with a 60-minute mix full of classic, deep, and soulful rhythms. The set includes tracks from the newly released Lost in the Rhythm EP, plus a few unreleased selections from the wider LITR crew.
If you’ve been enjoying the ADE uploads recently, this one’s worth diving into. One hour of straight vibes, record bag business, no filler.
